Use VoxScriber on Your Phone: Browser, App, and WhatsApp
The three ways to transcribe from your phone: the site in the browser, the mobile app, and sending audio directly via WhatsApp.
You don't need a computer to transcribe. On your phone there are three paths — the site in the browser, the mobile app, and WhatsApp — and they all use the same account, the same cycles, and the same library.
1. Site in your phone's browser
The full dashboard works in the mobile browser: sending files, recording audio on the spot, tracking processing, reading and editing transcripts, and exporting and sharing. It's the path with all the features, identical to desktop.
On your phone, you can send files directly from the voice recorder or file manager — WhatsApp audios (.ogg/.opus), iPhone recordings (.m4a), and gallery videos are accepted without any prior conversion.
2. Mobile app
The VoxScriber app lets you transcribe, track, and export your transcripts on the go, with the same account as the site. The main export formats (such as TXT, DOCX, and SRT) are available in the app; for the full set of formats and advanced features (such as AI meeting minutes and configurable sharing), use the site.
Account actions are also available in the app — including account deletion, if you need it.
3. WhatsApp (the fastest path)
For those who live on phone audio, the most practical channel is WhatsApp: you forward the audio to the Vox bot and get back the text and documents (PDF and other formats from your plan), without opening any site.
- Available for all plans, including the free one;
- Accepts audio forwarded from conversations (up to 50 MB per media);
- Deducts the same cycles from your account.
The step-by-step guide for linking and using it is in Send audio via WhatsApp.
Which path should you use?

Frequently asked questions
Is the app mandatory?
No. Everything works in the phone's browser. The app and WhatsApp are conveniences.
What changes between the app and the site?
The site has the complete set of features and export formats. The app covers day-to-day essentials (transcribing, reading, exporting in the main formats).
Can I record audio directly on my phone?
Yes — the new transcript screen has a built-in recorder in the browser. See Record in the browser.
