Export Formats by Plan: PDF, TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT, and JSON

Which download formats each plan unlocks: PDF and TXT on the free plan, DOCX/SRT/VTT on Lite, and JSON starting from Advanced. How to export step by step.

Every transcription can be downloaded in up to 6 formats: PDF, TXT, DOCX, SRT, VTT, and JSON. The free plan exports PDF and TXT; Lite unlocks DOCX and SRT/VTT subtitles; from Advanced onward, all formats are available — including JSON with complete data.

On the transcription screen, locked formats show a badge indicating the required plan. Trying to export a format outside your plan returns a notice with the exact plan that unlocks it.

What each format is for

  • PDF — ready-to-read document for reading, printing, and archiving. See Print and PDF.
  • TXT — plain text with time blocks and speaker name; opens anywhere. You can download it without speaker names if you prefer.
  • DOCX — editable Word, with each segment marked by start/end time and speaker. Ideal for meeting notes and reports.
  • SRT / VTT — synchronized subtitles for video and web. See Export SRT and VTT subtitles.
  • JSON — complete structure (segments, words, speakers, metrics, and metadata) for integrations and automation.

How to export

1

Open the transcription

In your library, click the desired transcription.

2

Choose the format

Use the export/download button and select the format. Custom speaker names and saved edits are included in the generated file.

3

Download the file

The download starts immediately. You can export the same transcription as many times and in as many formats as you want — exporting does not consume cycles.

When exporting, you can choose the document language (labels and headers) — useful when the recipient speaks another language.

Exporting requires an account with a verified email (or WhatsApp). For partial transcriptions — when your balance covered only part of the audio — the exported file contains only the paid portion.

Exporting through other channels

  • WhatsApp: the same formats from your plan apply to documents delivered by the bot; download links sent there are valid for 7 days.
  • Organizations: the owner and company administrators can also export transcriptions from the team's library.

Frequently asked questions

Does the free plan only download PDF?

No — the free plan downloads PDF and TXT. DOCX, SRT, and VTT are included in Lite; JSON, starting from Advanced.

Does exporting consume cycles?

No. Exports are free and unlimited in any format unlocked by your plan.

I upgraded — do old transcriptions get the new formats?

Yes. The gate is based on your current plan, so existing transcriptions can now be exported in the new plan's formats.

Do my edits and speaker names appear in the exported file?

Yes. Export always uses the latest saved version, including custom speaker names.

Can anyone with my public link download the formats?

No. The public sharing page has no download buttons — only the owner (and organization admins, if any) can export.
