Send Multiple Files at Once: Batch Limits by Plan
How many files you can have processing at the same time on each plan, how the queue works, and what the per-batch file limit error means.
You can select and send multiple files at once — the platform handles the queue. There is a cap on files in flight at the same time (uploading or processing), which varies by plan. When one finishes, the next one starts: the cap does not limit the total you transcribe.
Cap of simultaneous files by plan
| Plan | Files in flight at the same time |
|---|---|
| Free / Lite | 5 |
| Advanced | 25 |
| Pro | 50 |
| Premium / Enterprise | 100 |
Two notes:
- Free accounts that have made any purchase (package or subscription in the past) are treated with the paid-account cap;
- The count considers the last 30 minutes — a stuck old upload doesn't block you forever.
How it works in practice
Select all the files
On the New transcription screen, select (or drag) the entire batch. The cap check happens right in the browser — you get the warning before spending bandwidth uploading a file that won't be accepted.
The queue runs by itself
The files within the cap upload and process in parallel; the others wait. As each transcription finishes, a slot opens for the next one.
Track them in your collection
Each file becomes an independent transcription in your collection, with its own status. Did one fail? Only that one goes into automatic retry — the rest of the batch is not affected.
Large batches (dozens of audios) are the ideal use case for the Advanced plan or higher — besides the larger cap (25+), you process the whole batch in much less time.
Check your cycle balance before dropping a large batch: each file deducts when it finishes. If the balance runs out midway, the remaining files fail due to insufficient credits (no charge) until you top up.
Frequently asked questions
I sent 10 files on the free plan and only 5 went through. Why?
The free cap is 5 in flight. The others enter as the first ones finish — no need to resend.
What does the "batch file limit" error mean?
You tried to start more files than the plan's simultaneous cap allows at that moment. Wait for the in-progress transcriptions to finish or upgrade.
Does the cap limit how many minutes I can transcribe per month?
No. It only limits parallel processing. What limits the total volume is your cycle balance.
Can I mix formats in the same batch?
Yes — audio and video together, different formats, all in the same batch. Each file is validated and converted individually.
Can I automate recurring batches?
Yes, via the API (Pro plan or higher). See Upload by URL and API.
