Transcribe via WhatsApp: Link Your Number and Send Audio
How to link your WhatsApp to your VoxScriber account with an OTP code, send audio to the Vox bot, and get the transcription as text and PDF. Available on all plans.
You can send audio to our WhatsApp bot — Vox 🎧 — and get the transcription back in the conversation itself, as text and files (PDF, DOCX, etc.). This feature is available on all plans, including the free one.
Old documentation said WhatsApp was exclusive to the Profissional+ plans. That changed: since July 2026 all plans have access.
Link your number
Linking is done through a modal in the dashboard — there's no WhatsApp tab in settings. To open it:

Alternative ways:
- From the bot: if you send an audio without being linked, Vox sends a link with a 6-character code (valid for 15 minutes) to connect the account.
- Magic email link: you can also request a confirmation link by email (valid for 20 minutes) that links without typing a code.
1 number = 1 account. If you link a number that was already on another account, it gets moved — the old account loses the link. Brazilian numbers are recognized with or without the ninth digit.
Send audio and get the result
Once your number is linked, just forward the audio (or send a YouTube link) in the conversation with Vox. You'll get:
- The text in the conversation itself, in blocks of up to 4,096 characters (WhatsApp's limit), possibly including speaker names identified by AI.
- Files via link (one per format — e.g.,
transcricao.pdf). Links are valid for 7 days.

Your plan limits (duration per file, cycle balance) apply the same — WhatsApp uses the same processing engine as the website. If you're a member of a business organization, you use the company's plan on WhatsApp too.
Trial: 1 free transcription without an account
If you send an audio without having an account, you get 1 free transcription per number, with audio up to 5 minutes, delivered in TXT + PDF. If the trial fails due to an error on our side, the number's courtesy is restored.
Other things you can do on WhatsApp
- Verify your account during sign-up (alternative to email): the OTP code on WhatsApp grants access as if your email were verified.
- Subscribe to a plan (checkout link sent in the conversation), cancel, and check invoices.
- Unlink your number: ask the bot or remove it from your account; the action is logged in history.
FAQ
Where do I find the linking option in settings?
You don't — linking is done through a modal. Use ?vincular-whatsapp=1 on any dashboard page or start from the bot itself.
Can I use the same number on two accounts?
No. Linking to a new account moves the number and deactivates the old link.
The PDF link I received has expired. What now?
Links are valid for 7 days, but the transcription stays in your library on the website — just download it again from there.
Does WhatsApp audio use my regular cycles?
Yes, with the same cost per engine as on the website. The only exception is the trial for people without an account.
Does a number from another country work?
Linking is done with a WhatsApp number; the special canonical form (ninth digit) only applies to Brazilian numbers. If you have trouble with an international number, contact support.
