Search the Archive and Ask the AI (Ask Your Archive)
How to find any transcription with text search, organize them into folders, and use the AI to ask something about your entire archive at once.
Your archive brings together all your transcriptions, with content search, folder organization, and a feature that goes even further: "Ask your archive" — the AI answers questions by scanning every transcription at once, with citations from the sources.
Text Search
The archive search box looks for:
- In the content of the transcriptions — it works even when the content is encrypted, thanks to a secure search index;
- In the file name — useful when you remember the file, not the topic.
Type a snippet you remember ("budget proposal", a client's name) and the archive filters instantly.
Folders and Subfolders
Organize transcriptions into folders with subfolders, with no quantity limit on any plan. Each folder shows an item counter, and folder names must be unique at the same level.
Combine the two: folders for long-term organization (by client, by project) and search for quick specific finds. Search scans the entire archive, regardless of folder.
Ask Your Archive (AI)
Instead of looking through transcription after transcription, ask a question — "what was decided about project X's budget?", "when was my last meeting with Ana?" — and the AI:
- Performs a smart search based on meaning (not just exact words) across all your transcriptions;
- Builds the answer using content from up to 5 transcriptions, with up to 8 numbered citations [1] [2] pointing to where each piece of information came from;
- Answers in your language, including understanding time references such as "my last meeting".
Access the feature
In the dashboard, open "Ask your archive".
Write your question
Between 3 and 2,000 characters. The more specific, the better the answer.
Check the citations
The answer comes with numbered references — click to check the source transcription of each passage.
Monthly Quotas
| Plan | Archive questions per month |
|---|---|
| Free | 3 |
| Lite | 10 |
| Advanced | 50 |
| Pro and above | Unlimited |
The quota renews on the monthly anniversary of your account, like the other AI quotas. See AI features.
The AI answers based only on your transcriptions — it cites the sources precisely so you can check them. If something important doesn't show up in the answer, the corresponding transcription may not exist in your archive yet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does search work with encrypted transcriptions?
Yes. Search uses a secure index that can find words without exposing the content — and it also searches the file name.
Is there a limit on folders?
No. Folders and subfolders are unlimited on all plans.
Does Ask your archive consume cycles?
No. It uses the monthly question quota for your plan (3 on Free, 10 on Lite, 50 on Advanced, unlimited from Pro and above).
Does the AI also search my company's transcriptions?
The feature answers based on the transcriptions in your archive. For the organization's shared archive, see the article on company plans and shared archive in the Companies category.
