How Billing Works

Mid-month upgrade

  • Credits: Credits from the new plan are added immediately

Downgrade requested

  • Calculation: No additional charge, takes effect in the next cycle
  • Example: Downgrade requested on day 10, effective from the next renewal
  • Credits: Current credits kept until natural expiration

Cancellation

  • Calculation: No refund, service continues until the end of the paid period
  • Example: Cancel on day 15, service works until day 30
  • Credits: Plan credits expire along with cancellation

Temporary pause

  • Calculation: Billing suspended during pause
  • Example: 2-month pause = no charges for the next 2 months
  • Credits: Credits are "frozen" during the pause

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your plan at any time without penalty. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the already-paid period.

Is there a refund when I cancel?

We do not offer refunds for cancellations. You continue to have access to your plan's features until the end of the already-paid period.

Can I pause my plan instead of canceling?

Yes! You can pause for 1-6 months. During the pause there are no charges and your data is saved. Reactivation can be automatic or manual.

How does a mid-month upgrade work?

You only pay the prorated difference. For example, if there are 15 days left in the month, you pay 50% of the difference between plans.

Will I lose my credits when downgrading?

No. Your current credits are kept until natural expiration. Only new credits follow the lower plan rules.

Can I go back to my previous plan?

Yes, you can change your plan as many times as you want. Each change follows the corresponding billing rules.

Troubleshooting

I can't change my plan

Possible causes: Pending payment on current plan, plan in grace period, temporary technical issues.

Solutions: Settle any outstanding payments first, wait for the grace period to end, contact support if the problem persists.

Unexpected charge after a change

Possible causes: Upgrade with prorated billing, processing fee, extra features activated.

Solutions: Check the invoice details, confirm whether it was a mid-period upgrade, contact billing if the charge is incorrect.

Features not activated after upgrade

Possible causes: Payment processing delay, browser cache, system sync.

Solutions: Wait up to 30 minutes, clear cache and log out/log in, contact technical support.

I want to cancel but the button doesn't appear

Possible causes: Plan already canceled, active grace period, interface error.

Solutions: Check your current plan status, wait for the grace period to end, use the "Contact Support" option.

Best Practices

Planning

  • Evaluate your actual usage before making changes
  • Consider seasonality in your work
  • Calculate the savings/cost of the change
  • Consider an adjustment period

Timing

  • Upgrades: do it when you really need to
  • Downgrades: request a few days before renewal
  • Cancellations: consider pausing temporarily first
  • Avoid frequent changes (causes billing confusion)

Financial

  • Keep your payment method up to date
  • Settle any outstanding balances before making changes
  • Monitor invoices after changes
  • Keep records of plan changes

Data

  • Back up important data
  • Export reports before downgrading
  • Document your current settings
  • Keep your transcription history saved

Before making any changes, consider temporarily pausing your plan instead of canceling. Pausing keeps your data and settings intact, allowing easy reactivation when needed, without losing your history or having to reconfigure everything.
