How to Cancel Your Subscription
Step-by-step guide to cancel your VoxScriber subscription by card or Automatic PIX: access until the end of the cycle, what happens to credits and transcriptions.
Canceling VoxScriber is simple and no-nonsense: the cancellation takes effect at the end of the already paid cycle — you keep full access until the renewal date, no new charges are made, and your transcriptions stay on your account.
Canceling by payment method
Card subscription
Access the billing page in the dashboard and open the billing portal (Stripe). There you can cancel the subscription, see invoices, and change your card.
Automatic PIX subscription
Cancel directly on the billing page in the dashboard. The confirmation message is literal: "You keep access until the end of the current cycle." No new debit will be authorized after that.
During cancellation, we ask for the reason (it helps improve the product) and, if it makes sense to you, we offer 30% off for one cycle to reconsider.
What happens after cancellation
| Item | What happens |
|---|---|
| Plan access | Kept until the end of the paid period |
| After that date | Account moves to the Free plan |
| Pay-as-you-go cycles | Preserved — they never expire |
| Free plan cycles | Guaranteed minimum of 120 cycles |
| Transcriptions and files | Stay on your account (canceling ≠ deleting your account) |
| Future charges | None |
Canceling does not automatically refund the already paid period — you use the plan until the end of the cycle. A refund is a separate request, reviewed by support: see the Refund Policy. And if your goal is simply to pay less, a downgrade preserves your subscriber history.
Paying via Automatic PIX, cancel through the platform, not by revoking the authorization in your bank's app — revoking at the bank only makes the next charge fail and throws your account into the pending payment flow.
Frequently asked questions
I canceled — how long can I still use it?
Until the end of the period you already paid for (the renewal date shown in the dashboard). The downgrade to the Free plan only happens on that date.
Do my credits disappear when the cancellation takes effect?
The plan's recurring cycles stop being valid, but active pay-as-you-go purchases (hour packages, custom balance) are preserved, in addition to the 120-cycle minimum from the Free plan.
Are my transcriptions deleted?
No. Canceling the subscription does not delete your account or your library. Deleting your account is a separate process — see Delete my account.
I canceled by accident — can I undo it?
If the period hasn't ended yet, just subscribe again from the billing page (with Automatic PIX it will be a new QR code). If you're unsure, contact support.
Is there a fine or cancellation fee?
No. You only pay for what you already contracted and use it until the end of the cycle.
