Custom Vocabulary and Key Terms

How to use key terms in the Premium engine for proper names, acronyms, and technical jargon — and how to request access to the Clinical Vocabulary (alpha).

If your recordings include proper names, acronyms, or technical jargon, you can reinforce them with key terms in the Premium engine: the AI then prioritizes these words when transcribing. For healthcare, there is also the Clinical Vocabulary, a preset with medical terms in a closed alpha.

Key Terms in the Premium Engine

The Premium engine accepts a list of terms for reinforcement and context about the audio. This is native to the transcription model and works well in Brazilian Portuguese. Use it for:

  • People and company names — "Herbert Wojcik", "Acme Participações";
  • Acronyms and products — "LGPD", "NFS-e", internal project names;
  • Field-specific jargon — legal, financial, and technical terms.

Upload the file in the dashboard

When uploading, choose the Premium engine (it's the default) and look for the terms/context field in the transcription options.

2

List the important terms

Add the terms exactly as they should appear in the text — including accents and capital letters. A few well-chosen terms work better than huge lists.

3

Review the result

Check the final text to confirm the terms came out correctly. You can make targeted adjustments in the editor. See Edit transcription.

Key terms are the most effective antidote to misspelled proper names — the kind of error that bothers people most in meeting minutes and interviews.

Clinical Vocabulary (closed alpha)

For healthcare professionals, the Clinical Vocabulary automatically injects medical terms — drugs, tests, and technical terms — into your transcriptions, without you having to build the list manually.

Important points:

  • It's a closed alpha: access is granted manually by our team, account by account.
  • Once granted, the feature becomes active within 5 minutes.
  • It works on the Premium engine, in Portuguese.

The Clinical Vocabulary is a speech recognition aid, not a clinical validation tool. Always review the final text before using it in medical records or official documents.

Frequently asked questions

Do key terms work on all engines?

No — they're a Premium engine feature. On the other engines, the best strategy is to review the text in the editor.

Is there a term limit?

In practice, short, specific lists work better. Focus on the terms that actually appear in the audio.

Does Clinical Vocabulary cost extra?

No. It uses the same cycle cost as the Premium engine (4 cycles per minute).

Can I save a list of terms to reuse?

Today, terms are provided per submission. If your routine requires fixed lists per project, let us know in a ticket — this kind of request guides our roadmap.
