Transcribe Audio via WhatsApp: Link and Use the Vox Bot
How to link your number and transcribe audio on WhatsApp with the Vox bot: 6-digit code, formats, limits, and free trial.

Forward any audio to Vox, VozParaTexto's bot on WhatsApp, and receive the text back in the conversation itself — along with the documents (PDF and other formats from your plan). The channel is available for all plans, including the free one, and uses the same cycles from your account.
Link your number (one time only)
Open the link invitation in your dashboard
Linking is done via a notice/modal in the dashboard itself — it's not in settings. Quick shortcut: open any dashboard page with ?vincular-whatsapp=1 in the address, or wait for the invitation that appears after your first transcription.
Confirm with the 6-digit code
You'll receive a code on your WhatsApp and enter it on the site. The code is valid for 5 minutes. You can also start from the bot itself (it sends a code for you to paste) or via a magic link sent to your email.
You're done: send audio
Forward an audio (or record one on the spot) to the Vox number. It transcribes and replies with the text and files.
1 number = 1 account. If you link the number to another account later, it is moved — it stops working on the previous account.
What you get back
- The transcription text in the conversation (messages of up to 4,096 characters, in blocks);
- Your plan's documents (e.g.,
transcricao.pdf), sent via a link valid for 7 days; - When more than one person is speaking, the text may come with AI-identified speaker names.
WhatsApp audio format
Every audio recorded on WhatsApp comes out in OPUS (inside an .ogg file) — it's the format the app uses to fit in low bandwidth without losing voice intelligibility. You don't need to convert anything: VozParaTexto accepts OPUS directly, both from the bot and via dashboard upload. To understand the format in detail, see Transcribe OPUS to text.
Channel limits
- Media sent via WhatsApp: up to 50 MB per file (WhatsApp's own limit). Larger files: send them through the site;
- Your plan's limits still apply (duration per file, cycle balance, export formats);
- Company members use their company's plan on WhatsApp as well.
Don't have an account yet? Free trial
Anyone who sends an audio to Vox without an account gets 1 free transcription per number (audio up to 5 minutes, result in TXT + PDF). If the trial fails due to an error on our side, the courtesy is not used up. There is a global daily cap for trials — if it's exhausted, try again later.

Frequently asked questions
I sent an audio and the bot asked me to link my number. Why?
Your number isn't linked to any account yet. Follow the link it sends or link via the dashboard (6-digit code).
The PDF link expired. Did I lose the transcription?
No — the transcription stays in your collection on the site forever. Only the WhatsApp download link expires (7 days); download it again from the site.
Does a 1-hour audio work on WhatsApp?
It works if it fits within 50 MB (WhatsApp voice messages are compact). If it exceeds that size, use the site — the result appears in the same collection.
My number is from another country. Can I use it?
Linking is done by WhatsApp number and isn't restricted to Brazil. Keep in mind that limits and formats follow your plan as usual.
Does WhatsApp charge different cycles than the site?
No — the cost is identical (same engines, same cycles).
