Change Plan
How to upgrade or downgrade VoxScriber: proration, when extra cycles drop, downgrade at the end of the cycle, and the specific rules for Automatic PIX.
Need more hours — or fewer? Switching plans follows two simple rules: upgrade takes effect immediately, with prorated charges; downgrade is scheduled for the end of the already-paid cycle, with no extra charge.
Upgrade (higher plan)
- It takes effect immediately: the new plan's features (higher limits, extra engines, priority) unlock right away;
- On cards, Stripe charges the prorated difference based on the remaining time in the cycle;
- For cycle-based plans, you receive the delta between the new and old plan right now (not the full allowance of both), respecting the new plan's 2× cap. The full new plan allowance comes at the next renewal.
Downgrade (lower plan)
- It is scheduled for the end of the current period: you keep the higher plan until the date you already paid for;
- There is no charge or removal of cycles when switching — your balance stays as is;
- From renewal onward, the lower plan's price and allowance apply.
Before canceling over price, consider stepping down: the natural ladder is Premium → Professional → Advanced → Lite. You keep your balance and pay less.
If you pay by Automatic PIX
PIX recurring payments have their own rules:
- Changing plans = cancel the current authorization and create a new one (new QR code);
- You can only migrate to a plan with more cycles;
- Annual → monthly requires canceling the annual subscription first.
Details in Automatic PIX subscription.
Do you have an old plan (Starter, Basic Monthly, Pro Monthly…)? They are no longer sold: when switching, you migrate to the equivalent V5 plan and cannot go back to the legacy plan afterward.
Frequently asked questions
I upgraded in the middle of the month — how much do I pay?
On a card, the prorated difference for the remaining days of the cycle. For cycle plans, you receive the difference between the plans right away.
I requested a downgrade — when does it take effect?
From the end of the already-paid period. Until then, you stay on your current plan; from renewal onward, the price and cycles become those of the lower plan.
Do I lose the cycles I already have on a downgrade?
No. Switching does not remove cycles. Only the new plan's renewal rule (2× cap) applies from then on.
Can I switch from monthly to annual?
Yes — the annual plan costs the equivalent of 9 monthly payments and credits the year's cycles. With Automatic PIX, the switch generates a new authorization QR code.
I just want more hours this month, without changing plans.
Buy an hours package or a custom balance — standalone cycles that never expire, without touching your subscription. See Plans and pricing.
