Recover Password and Access

Can’t sign in? This article covers the four most common scenarios: forgotten password, account created with social login, account locked by too many wrong attempts, and a verification email that never arrived.
I forgot my password
Request the reset link
On the login screen, click "Forgot password" and enter your email. For security, the response is always the same ("if the email exists, we'll send the link") — it doesn't confirm whether the account exists.
Use the link within 1 hour
The reset link expires in 1 hour. Did it expire? Request another one — there's a limit of 5 requests every 15 minutes.
Set your new password
Minimum 8 characters with uppercase, lowercase, and a number. When you finish, all sessions are signed out on every device, and the protection of your encryption key is rebuilt — your transcriptions remain intact.
"Wrong password" on an account created with Google
If you created your account with Google, Facebook, or Apple, it may not have a password — trying to log in with a password returns a social account error. Two ways out:
- Sign in with the same social button you used when signing up; or
- Use "Forgot password" to create a password — then the account accepts both methods.
When you request a reset on a social-only account, you'll receive an email reminding you which provider to use.
Account locked by too many wrong attempts
5 failed logins in 15 minutes (from the same email or IP) temporarily lock the account — this is protection against brute force. Wait a few minutes and try again, or use the password reset. If you use MFA and lost your phone, sign in with one of the backup codes generated during activation.
Verification email didn't arrive
- Resending has a 2-minute interval between requests — check spam before trying again;
- An account less than 48 hours old can use the password bypass (limited to 3 attempts per hour);
- Full alternative: WhatsApp verification — a 6-digit code sent to your number grants access just like a verified email.
An email address that rejects our messages (full inbox, invalid domain) can have its verification automatically dropped — the account will ask for verification again. Keep a valid email or also verify via WhatsApp.

The reset link expired — what now?
Request another one from the login screen. Each link is valid for 1 hour, and there's a limit of 5 requests every 15 minutes.
Will resetting my password sign out my other devices?
Yes, all sessions are revoked for security. Log in again on each device.
Do I lose my transcriptions when resetting my password?
No. The reset rebuilds the protection of the encryption key without touching your content.
I lost my MFA phone — how do I sign in?
Use one of the backup codes generated when you activated MFA. Without the codes, contact support for identity validation.
I'm not receiving any emails from you — what could it be?
Check spam/trash and whether your address is correct. If your provider rejected messages in the past, sending may be suspended — WhatsApp verification unlocks access in the meantime.
