Domains and Regions

VoxScriber, VoxScriber.pt, Voix2Texte, and VoxScriber: understand the 4 regional brands, how the region defines currency and data residency, and what changes for European accounts.

The same product serves the world with four regional brands. Your account works with any of them — what changes by region is the billing currency and where your data physically resides.

The four brands

DomainAudience
vozparatexto.com.brBrazil
vozparatexto.ptPortugal and Portuguese-speaking countries
voix2texte.frFrance, Belgium, Switzerland, Luxembourg, Monaco
voxscriber.comInternational (default for the rest of the world)

The emails you receive use the brand for your region — getting a message from "VoxScriber" as an international customer is normal; it's the same company.

Where your data lives

Residency is decided by the account's region:

  • Europe (EU/EEA/United Kingdom): database in Amsterdam + audio files in a dedicated European bucket;
  • Brazil, USA, and other regions: database in Chicago + files in the default bucket.

The component that routes each login to the correct database does not store personal data: it works with an irreversible hash of the email.

The region also defines the currency (real, euro, or dollar) and available payment methods — see International payments. And users in opt-in regions (Europe, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea) only receive communications with explicit consent.

What the region does NOT change

  • Your features, plans, and transcription quality are the same in all regions;
  • You can access through any of the four domains — the account is one single account.

Organizations do not mix regions: inviting someone to the company whose account lives in another region (e.g., a Brazil company inviting a European account) is blocked, because the organization's data lives in a single region. In that case, the invitee needs an account in the company's region.

Frequently asked questions

I'm from Europe — is my data kept in Europe?

Yes: database in Amsterdam and files in a European bucket. That's the data residency setup for EU/EEA/UK accounts.

Why did I get an email from 'VoxScriber' / 'Voix2Texte'?

They are the regional brands of the same product. The sender follows your account's region/language.

Can I change my account's region?

The region is set during signup and anchors where your data resides. If your region is wrong, contact support so they can evaluate the case.

Can I use my Brazilian account while traveling abroad?

Yes, from anywhere and through any of the domains. Your account's region (and currency) does not change because of travel.

My company is in Brazil and an employee has a European account — now what?

The invite will be blocked because the regions are different. The employee needs to create an account in the company's region to join the organization.
